围屋里世代居住着刘姓客家人。据《刘氏族谱》记载，明洪武初年，祖先刘隆由瑞金市的金塘背村迁来，当时还没有建置寻乌县，此地归安远县西乡，叫石溪堡。刘隆开垦荒地，十余年后，其子刘允恭建起了三栋祖房。其孙有七兄弟，勤劳能干，人丁迅速兴旺起来，于是再扩建宗祠、内外围屋，并设东西两门，因“门开东西两向，遂名之曰东团围”。</p></section></section></section><section
